AVIT is a 501(c)(3) organization involved in educating the public about the unique needs of children and adults with visual impairments. AVIT has twenty-eight member organizations of and for persons who are blind or visually impaired involved in this statewide coalition as member organizations. These organizations represent thousands of people. Since our official formation in 1992, our member organizations and individuals who are associate members have taken a leadership role in supporting appropriate programming and services for people who are blind or have low vision.
